Narration was done well by both narrators. I would give this gripping tale a 4-4.5 stars, really good, really different than anything I have ever read or listened to before. I think its just the nature of this story, nothing against the author at all.

I think for me because I didnt connect with Cole as much (I really think its because of who he is, I mean its tough to fall for a serial killer when you think about it haha). I love the artsy characters and being able to see this side was really cool and the author did a great job bringing the art to life in my head. The way the author got us in the heads of these artists, seeing them work was brilliant. I don't want to give stuff away but its a nice mind game! I really really loved the art in this book. I knew shaw was gonna hit close to home for our leading lady, and appreciated the author with all the symbolism and connection with art pieces.

I hope he tells her because I want to see her reaction to how he actually made that sculpture haha. I liked that art was weaved so much in this story, esp with that murder in the beginning. I liked that we didnt get to see a ton of deaths from one of them, it would have made it tough for me to continue on I think (smart move by one of my favorite authors). I was intrigued by the relationship between the 2 serial killers, the rivalry and everything. While I was listening my brain kept going to like criminal minds, I used to watch that religiously hahaha. She was so observant and could put things together because of her life up til then and the masks that Cole shedded when he was with her, the longer he was with her. She did have her "what are you doing" moments where I was shaking my head but she was so intuitive/could figure our Cole when no one else could. I really enjoyed this main character, she was so strong but also not at the same time. I was shocked how it started off with a such a bang! I was entranced from the onset. I had been eyeing up this duet for awhile but had no clue what it was about haha. I'm highly recommending this audiobook! 🎧 TheFlock, PinkFlamingo 🎧

Overall, There Are No Saints was a fantastic listen, and I can't wait to start the second book. They were convincing in their roles and made the story even more engaging. They flawlessly captured and portrayed the complexity of personalities, emotions, and intense chemistry. Lee Daniels and Jeffrey Holz performed marvellously. Their story is dark, intense, passionate, and suspenseful, with gore and other disturbing facets. Their relationship evolves in stages, and Lark did a stellar job making it work. Once Mara falls into his trap, she ignites emotions in Cole, ultimately changing a psychopathic killer. Cole has been patiently stalking Mara, who he seems to despise. The storyline and character development are absolutely terrific. And she did a phenomenal job! I don't want to get into plot details and spoil the book for anyone, so I'll provide a quick overview of the story. Sophie Lark creatively constructed a dark and twisted romance of that possibility for us to enjoy. However, within pages of a book, there is a possibility. The possibility of it ever happening, in reality, is NEVER. The premise is unique and provocative, a serial killer falling in love with a mark. Sophie Lark certainly stepped outside the box. There Are No Saints is the first instalment of Sinners Duet, a brilliantly written and enthralling serial killer romance. This is a steamy serial killer romance that will take you on a journey through the twisted mind of an artist on the brink of madness. Listeners be warned: this audiobook contains extremely dark themes that might be triggering to some.

There Are No Saints is the first audiobook in the Sinners Duet. Come on this darkly sensual and utterly brain-bending ride with me! - Sophie Redeeming a character who starts so evil was a challenge that inspired me to entirely new heights and entirely new depths. A serial killer is, of course, the ultimate anti-hero-the baddest of the bad boys. I have always been fascinated by true crime, as well as by villains and anti-heroes. But she has no idea she’s dancing with the devil…. I don’t know if I should protect her at all costs…or destroy her before she ruins me. She makes me feel things I never thought I could feel. I’m fixated on her for a different reason. Shaw wants to use her as a pawn in his twisted game.

Until the night we both laid eyes on Mara Eldritch. In truth, we’re predators battling for hunting ground. The city of San Francisco thinks we’re rival artists.
